I am from from Drexel Hill Pennsylvania (western Philly suburb.) I attended Haverford College where I got a BS in Engineering, and received by MBA with a speciality in marketing from the Columbia Graduate School of Business, My senior project in college was to apply for an FM Broadcast license as near New York City as I could get, and I was granted a Class A FM Broadcast license in Dover, New Jersey, WDHA-FM went on the air in the early 60s. I faced quite a marketing problem as most people did not yet have FM radios. Our first years were spent selling Sarkes Tarzian table radios to help build our audience. We were one of the first FM stations to broadcast in FM stereo, building our own equipment. We later purchased our AM competition in Morristown, New Jersey, WMTR, where we took the station from a daytime to full time operation. At the end of my broadcast career in New Jersey in 1992, the two stations were among the largest in New Jersey. During my career I had the honor of serving as president of the New Jersey Broadcasters Association and visited each of the New Jersey stations once a year.
In 1992 I semi-retired to sunny Key West Florida where I continued my broadcast career until 1998. After selling our operation, I became involved in theater management and followed my love of photography which at the point was going digital. I have worked as a writer, sales person, and photographer for the Florida Key’s largest visitor publication, Destination Florida Keys and Key West, as well as for Key West Playbills which sells the advertising for our four theaters.
For the past ten years I have been involved in studying the progress of internet businesses and the marketing of the new technologies like Word Press and Photoshop. I have also become active in studying many ways of earning extra money on the Internet and have settled upon Affiliate Marketing as the easiest and most profitable way to earn additional income.
My earlier years spent building FM Radio audiences and the switching from analog to digital photography prepared me for the challenges of this new “side hustle.” I am always learning and keeping up with the advances in this technology, from the use of auto responders in email to the use of sales funnels to make on line conversion sales.
Like many other semi-retired seniors, I find that more money is needed during retirement than I had planned for. I have been involved in showing others how to earn money at home with their own on line business with minimal capital investment. Thanks to all of the new teaching technologies available, one does not need a high technical level of training to do this.
My six articles explore many of these new systems. I hope to be able to help others achieve a great degree of financial freedom working from home.
